Power Up Boston started in 2009 when Chris Kolacz began fixing computers and running network cable for local businesses in Plymouth. No investors, no franchise playbook — just one guy who was really good with technology and cared about doing right by his neighbors.
17 years later, that same commitment hasn't changed. The services grew — managed IT, security cameras, cybersecurity, access control, structured cabling, AV — but the philosophy stayed the same: show up, do excellent work, be honest about what you need, and pick up the phone when it rings.

Chris Kolacz founds Power Up Boston in Plymouth, MA — starting with computer repair and networking for local businesses.
2012
Expanded into security camera installation as demand grew from local retail and restaurant clients.
2015

2018
